How do I paint kitchen cabinets?
My mobile home kitchen cabinets are made of compressed cardboard/wood with a thin, tape like laminate on them. The laminate is peeling off in several areas. How do I repair, paint (type) or fix the problem?

They are good quality so I don't want to replace.
Painting would probably be the best option. Be sure to prime first.
All you can do is try to glue peeling areas back down. Wash well, prime and paint with oil base.
take cabinet doors off, drawer fronts too, and use a blow dryer to pop the rest of the coating off. Lightly sand to make sure all the adhesive is off and prime and paint.
I would remove the peeling film. They sell all sorts of laminates, films etc. if you would like to try that. Even contact paper can be used. Or after removing the film, you can prime and paint.
