Hi Vonna, this lovely video will give you some ideas on how to restore your brick patio - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oR7PkaDEHkU
Hello there, Do you have any photos you can share as it would help with reply?
I am sorry but don't have any photos , we moved into a townhouse and the patio has weeds coming up and you can tell it is old I think the townhouse was built in 1980's
We renovated our brick driveway and have some suggestions that relate to brick patios too. Definitely use polymeric sand when filling the cracks between the bricks:
Thank you it is old , and has weeds coming through , it is a old townhouse and not sure when the patio was there
Use a long handled tool for removing weeds from in between bricks and paving. Fill with special sand for this purpose using a soft broom to sweep it in.
Sprinkle over it with a watering can just to settle it in the cracks. Wait a few weeks then use a sealer on top(can be purchased from DIY's as can the other items I have mentioned). Best wishes.
Thank you so much what is the special sand I have to use and what kind of a sealer too we are retired so a budget of supplies will b helpful thank you so much
