Emily.....2 cups of vinegar, 1/4 cup epson salt and a little Dawn...shake in a spray bottle.
I reuse an old spray Windex bottle. Pour in about a half cup of regular salt then fill it up with vinegar. Add about a half teaspoon of Dawn dishwashing detergent (probably any dish soap would work---the dish detergent makes the mixture "stick" on to the weeds instead of dripping right off). I usually spray the area in the early Spring. That's it. This mixture works better than any product I've tried on those pesky weeds that grow in between the bricks in my courtyard and I never worry about my dog getting sick if he gets it on his paws. Good luck!
