Eleven Hitchhiking Plants.
A. Burdock (Arctium lappa, Asteraceae); B. Grappling-hook (Harpagonella palmeri, Boraginaceae); C. Horehound(Marrubium vulgare, Lamiaceae); D. Bur-grass (Cenchrus echinatus, Poaceae); E. Bur-clover (Medicago polymorpha syn. M. hispida, Fabaceae); F. Beggar-ticks (Bidens pilosa, Asteraceae); G. Sand-bur (Ambrosia acanthicarpa, Asteraceae); H. Cocklebur (Xanthium strumarium, Asteraceae); I. Krameria (Krameria grayi, Krameriaceae); J. Stick-tight (Desmodium cuspidatum, Fabaceae); K. Devil's-claw (Martynia annua, Martyniaceae).
Try to get to them before they flower. If you don't, you will get more than you have now. If nothing else, get the kids to go around and deflower the weeds before they turn to the sticker state when they dry up.
If you don't want to use a chemical spray, you could try this one. Might have to spray them a few times.

Straight vinegar. Spray it on full strength or pour it at the base of the weed to kill the root. People who spend many $ on commercial weed killers are making the other man rich when they could be using vinegar in stead.
I have never had much luck with the salt, vinegar, dishsoap recipes, even with using the extra strength vinegar. Boiling water works the best, also pulling them after a rainstorm when the ground is softer.
Dig the out early as soon as you see them.
