You can use push in metal fencing. Each piece will link to another so you can make a long run. It's fairly inexpensive and easy to put into place. It doesn't have to be tall. About 1.5 to 2 foot high will work. Found at any home improvement store like Menards, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. WalMart probably has it as well. The geese don't fall for the owl trick at our house but the fencing keeps them off the property and swimming past on the lake!
my parents used to put some short posts (like lathe or yardstick) about 12-15" tall then tie string to them as a barrier. It wasn't terrible looking, but the geese wouldn't walk over it or fly either. Kept them and their poo out of mom&dad's yard all summer long!
Rent or buy a fox. No labor or maintenance involved. Totally natural and environmentally safe😁.
