How can I make over my master bedroom (pics attached)?
We have a very bid master bedroom but I HATE the color of the walls and the furtinure around the bed, it is so 80's. What can I do to make the bedroom look more fresh and inviting? The carpet is kind of pinky, which is somehow limiting butI cannot replace it for now. I attached some pictures. Any suggestion is welcomed. Thank you.

How about choosing a light gray with not too much of a blue cast to paint the walls. Then perhaps choose just a slightly darker gray and paint the furniture. It might provide a more serene feel to your bedroom. Some greenery would look nice too!
Is it a fixed furniture or can you move.. Don't worry about the carpet, you can always buy a rug to go over it.
Here are my tips:
I will paint it light gray as Janice said above.
I will reorganize furniture and get rid of some, whatever you don't need.
If you can paint those dressers, it's awesome.. I have a tutorial I can drop the link for you. If you need any further help please let me.

Too many little pictures and small accessories. Need lamps. Think color. Paint furniture maybe an off white, walls a soft aqua. Use pillows to tie in colors. Stay away from grey, they are almost now outdated and over used.
Light French Gray paint on the walls - Sherwin Williams is having 40% off beginning 7/19.
A couple of rugs.
Either paint or update furniture by replacing or painting the hardware.
Add some color with accessories.
Paint frames of pictures.
Too much neutrals. I would select some color (deep pink, purple apricot?) for bed, curtains, accessories. Frames should all match for cohesiveness.
Start with a new bedspread, pick up the colors for the walls, rugs from the new spread, find one or two colors with some real zing.
Is that a giant mirror ? Can you move the bed to a different wall? And maybe DIY, or purchase a beautiful headboard, but maybe one you can either paint or recover easily down the road when you get tired of it. Place a long dresser, or a couple of chairs and small side table in front of the mirror. If you can swing it get a large rug to go over the carpet and your bed sitting on top only about halfway or less. Or get rid of the carpet and put in wood or a good laminate. Save the family photos for the hallway, and bring in large art, similar to the one you have. Add a bench at the end of your bed. Be careful on wall colors, choose a soft soothing color you love, that will be a beautiful backdrop for your decor, or a beautiful wallpaper. There are some gorgeous wallpaper murals. Maybe itās time to get different dressers. You could get new, butās there are great sites to get used, But beautiful excellent quality furniture. Consignment, Facebook Mar ketplace, estate sales... also choose a simpler bed covering, in a single color or muted colors.
Pintrest has thousands of ideas, hereās a few I mentioned, but you can type in color choices for bedrooms and youāll get great inspiration. The forth one, with a fireplace, just imagine your mirror where the fireplace is.
Some other ideas I found to modernize your mirror... removable large scale decals, building a half wall over it, painting it, hanging a large painting from the ceiling. I
I also want to say your carpet is beautiful. Use that as your base for inspiration. The top right photo, something like that would be stunning with the mirror behind it., and would complement the carpet.
You have a great room to work with and paint can work wonders. I would give the walls and dressers a fresh coat of paint, add a large rug at the end of your bed and fun bedding. When my husband and I were trying to sell our old house, our realtor said "you really love earth tones, don't you?" after looking around our house. I thought it was odd because I don't love earth tones. I love bright, fun colors, but I realized my house was full of tans, beige and browns. When we moved into our new house I decided I was going to pick out colors that I truly loved and it really makes a huge difference when decorating. I've added some color palettes to hopefully inspire you.
Thank you Holly. Personnaly I do love earth tone and you are right my bedroom has a lot of these colors but the other parts of the house do not. This is why I am looking to change it. I am afraid to go with a bright color, I think it's too stimulating for a bedroom so I love your top right color palet. Thank you for your suggestions.
Wow your bedroom is huge. It needs color. I would go get a nice colorful comforter, quilt or bedspread. I would a color from that bed covering for accents. I Personally would paint the room a light sage green. Green is a serine color.
I would also buy an area rug with that goes well with the new bed covering. Painting furniture is not an easy task so I would avoid that.
