How do I keep white washcloths white?
How can I keep white wash cloths looking white? Bleach, blue whitening, etc. does nothing for the light brown color my washcloths turn after several washings. I upgraded the quality of washcloths, but after a few washings, still the same brown center on the washcloth. I don't have this problem with white bed linens so I don't think it is my detergent. I use oatmeal bath wash. Could that be the problem or what else could be the culprit??? Yes, I have hard water.

It's most likely iron from your water. My whites are all yellowish brown :(
You can try washing in hot water and soaking in oxyclean. The oxyclean seems to work better than bleach for me, but nothing works really well to keep whites white.

If the entire load is white, add 1 cup lemon juice to the wash. If not, 1 cup borax.
Switch bath wash and see if that is the problem. Could it be makeup?
