Without major construction, remove and cap off any plumbing and insert shelves with brackets. Then either purchase or make a door or use a tension rod with a fabric curtain.
If temporary, cap off plumbing. Buy a pantry cabinet close to same size as shower, set it inside. Add extra shelves if need be. Paint
If you wish to permanently convert this, you'll have to remove the shower enclosure (tile or fiberglas) along with the shower pan. Remove/cap all plumbing after cutting back to wall level. Once all is removed, you'll then drywall (or panel), prime & paint. Add shelves and a door frame to fit whatever new door you purchase.
Somewhere my answer disappeared. Mine was combinations of the above.
Hi Lori, you can use a tension rod to hang clothes on, but also enclose it with another tension rod with a curtain on it, if you are handy you can build shelves for inside the shower, or you can purchase a bookshelf to use as shelving. Hope these helps you out.
