How can I cover up outdoor AC units that are an eyesore?
Need a way to hide airconditioning equip installed outside of home where shrubs were planted to do just this but landscaping crew was too agressive trimming and you can now see everything right through the shrubbery. Now, HOA wants it fixed.

Will your HOA let you build something around it to cover it? Like a tastefully done small fence? You can get that vinyl fencing that looks good. But it is probably not the quickest fix. Maybe add some potted plants around it.
Since you’ve a HOA, please read your CC& R’s as they may not allow this solution:
Make a serviceable (removable) screen around the unit with plastic pre-colored lattice panels. White. Gray & “cedar” are the common colors.
No painting, can be hosed off & no rotting.
The panels can be held up by either spray painted (to match the lattice) steel fence posts & zip-tied on the corners, or you can build a treated lumber 4x4 frame for each panel & hinge them, like a 3 part folding screen (in a U shape).
