Should I fix my broken doorknob or replace the whole door?
I broke it when I was locked out because I needed to get in quickly. The hole where the knob used to be is pretty messed up as is the lock mechanism.
Any hardware or home improvement center has replacement parts. Very simple, you can do it yourself. Why pay someone $100 or more for a 15 minute job? Watch some You Tube videos.

Remove the 2 screws securing it to the wall. The door bell will be able to be pulled away from the wall while still connected to the two wires. Remove the two wires and put them on the screws of your new bell button. Reattach the bell back to the wall and you are done.
From start to finish about 5 minutes, it's Very simple, you do NOT need a professional.
