Hello Angela! You can use full sheets of plywood to create wood floors rather than cutting the plywood into strips which is also a popular method to create inexpensive wood floors. I would take some measurements to see how full sheets would fit in the area you want to work on and/or which way you could lay them to fit the best. You may have to make some adjustments in your layout so if you have to cut any sheets to fit you could have full sheets in the area you will see the most of. For example is your room is 12 wide you could fit two 4 foot wide sheets in the middle of the space with 2 foot cuts on each side. Some rooms are not exactly square so be prepared to have some trim for around edges which will cover any gaps. I have a relative who used full sheets ofplywood in a very large open concept garage floor loft type home, stained and finished with poly. This isn't just an apartment area--it's an actual home above a HUGE garage. It looks fabulous with her farm house theme décor. She also included a corrugated tin ceiling and wainscoting. It's a very rustic farmhouse look that works wonderfully for her.
