It depends on the bay window. Some large ones require “kickers” or diagonal bracing/framing that transfers the load back into the foundation.
Most jurisdictions require window-replacement permits.
As in some bay windows go to the floor level and some go to counter height.
The one’s that are floor level, require a window permit and framing techniques beyond this forum- so hire pro help.
