If the room is dark, I would go with a lighter color. If your bedroom has a lot of windows and is bright, I would keep them black.
Patti....I would go lighter also...try pulling color from bedspread or curtains. Good luck!
what is a qincey bed? So much depends on what else is in the room, carpeting, walls, curtains etc, also size of room. Can you post a picture of the room?
Hi Patti, without seeing the room or furniture, my thought is to paint them black and perhaps paint the interior of the armoire a bright color that you love. But as others have said, it depends on the surrounding area where your furniture will be.
Completely personal choice but if you can't match the finish, I would go with a coordinating color.
Black furniture and sage green walls could read as calmly sophisticated, especially if you love greens. Don't know what color your walls are now but you might try one accent wall to start and see if you're liking it before painting it all sage. Most of all have fun with it!
Patti, Painting furniture is a lot harder than painting drywall, so you want to pick a color that you can use for many years. There's a lot more surface area visible in a dresser so not sure I'd stick with black as it might make room darker than you like. Why not try a gray that compliments the black bed and pick a gray that would work in several rooms of your house. I move a lot and my furniture keeps changing rooms, so you want something neutral but also flexible in multiple living spaces.
If the walls are a light color, you can paint the other pieces black to match the bed.
