What type of inexpensive flooring will look nice in small areas?
Need to remove very old carpet from hallway and two very small bedrooms. Need direction, as when we first moved in 13 years ago all we could afford to install in living, dining and master bedroom rooms was laminate floors. They are okay, but we prefer another type of flooring. What do you suggest for small areas that is attractive and won’t break the bank. Choices are overwhelming. Many thanks for lending your expertise!

Click and place vinyl planks....cost from 99 cents to 3.39 a plank. Peel and stick planks are simple and cost effective as well.
Hardwood would be my number one choice, but if too expensive for your budget, consider vinyl wood look planks. Easy maintenance and looks like wood. Yes, there are many choices, but to keep it from getting confusing, consider the lifestyle of your family, your climate, ease of maintenance. That will narrow the field significantly. Be sure to check the warranty or guarantee of any product you choose too.
HelloToni,
Maybe if you like the wood effect, for bedrooms, maybe go for a Vinyl Wood plank (not so noisy and warmer on feet), and go for Hardwood in the hallway. Best wishes.
