Once when we were still in apts I just nailed boards painted blue (then paint wiped off) to the wall and hung my copper bottomed pans on it. You could also hang iron items from yesteryear to add to a rustic look. I was reminded of this because I recently got over 30 iron pot stands and stands for non-electric irons. But anything like an iron frying pan, or baking item would look rustic if it is iron.
