I just made a rope basket. What product can I use to add shine?
I would like to keep the natural look of the rope but want to give it a high shine.
To add trim use hot glue or fabric glue.
for fabric shades I usually add some fringe or maybe ball fringe. IMHO most lampshades look best with the addition of trim. If you want to decorate the body of the shade you could glue on buttons or other fanciful small items.
I think some of the beaded fringe would look really cute hanging from a lampshade. Hobby Lobby, Michael's and JoAnn's all have some fun trims. Good luck!
