How can I display drum sticks from music bands?
My sister is a 'music junkie' and has collected drum sticks from the drummers in the concerts she has gone to. We were looking for a way to display them instead of taking room on a shelf. I thought of a picture frame...any ideas are welcome! Thank you, Celeste

You could get a shadow box frame for them. I would put a coat of paint on the backing so it looks nice as she fills it up and as she adds sticks to her collection you could open it back up to put them in.
You could make a drumstick mat by lacing the sticks to each other with twine or sisal. The mat could be hung on a wall or used on a counter or dresser, along with a few photos or posters from the bands. You could even glue the mats to cardboard or placemats for stronger mats. Cheap, easy, expandable, and reusable. Jewell
Celeste....I would go with a shadow box. Does she have the names of who gave her the sticks? You could have/make plaques with name and date possibly.
What about making a large wall clock?
It will be very difficult to make a mat that is flat or level using drum sticks, as the circumferences vary according to type, brand, and style.
