How should I make over a real marble bedside table top?
I have a bedside table, 4 foot tall, it has a drawer and a door with an open shelf on the bottom. The top is real marble and when you lift the marble it opens directly to the drawer. The wood is dark brown and the marble is white with grey marks in it. I don't know what to do with a slab of real marble? Can it be changed to a different color somehow? I am staining the table golden oak.

Don't touch the marble. Better to trade out to something you like better. Is this an antique or just a marble topped table?
It sounds like a wash stand. Refinishing it will devalue but they aren't selling well today anyway. Replace the top with wood if you want. Please do not harm the marble. You can sell it.
I added pictures so you could see it
Beautiful piece! Sell the marble and then get a different top for it.
