How do I clean the stone on my home exterior?
We live in a tri-level house built in the 80s. The front has ugly darkish stone with grey grout. Any suggestions on how to clean it or brighten it up?

Powerwash it and see how it looks, the decide what to do next.
Hi Shannon. I'm Cindy. I would use a power washer to clean the stone. If you don't have access to one, you can rent one from your local home improvement store. Good luck Shannon.
Cleaning is the easy part. If it's got mold, mildew or algae, Wet and Forget now has a hose end sprayer. You simply wet it down and walk away. It takes some time for you to see it getting clean, but you can speed things along by hosing it down with water once a week or so. To brighten, you can paint it. There are some really good masonry paints available, that will stick to both stone and mortar. Three stories would be best left to a pro, at least for me.

Use a power washer! You can either rent one for the weekend or buy one inexpensively at a hardware store near you. It was one of the best investments we made and is great for cleaning the house and fence as well.
