Old plate of different sizes can be used for the tiers. Add a center riser glued on to each plate center to get the needed clearance. Cake supply stores will also have pedestals.
You can buy the center risers on amazon as a kit - then drill through old plates work great as the tires
Gayle....Try the Dollar Tree. Plates of different sizes and candle sticks. Glue together, just make sure your icing on the cupcakes is not too high to go on the plates....top will be fine!
