I have just done this. At least 2 of the plants I brought in, wintered over last year too. the ones on the long bench are in an East exposure in a coolish room. I just water and keep lamps on them for about 16 hours a day. The oval tray is in a western window in a warmer room. Bugs don't seem to be a problem but these were already in pots. Good luck. A little bit of summer is nice in winter.
Find some window space for them once inside by adding a few inexpensive crates on either side of a window and top with a board you can paint or stain. Make sure they all have saucers under them.
