How can I repair a chenille couch that was damaged by my dog?
I have a maltese that I normally love dearly. She has one bad habit I hate. She likes to "dig" on my furniture. She has caused snags and runs on my chenille couch cushion. Other than reupholstering, are there any ideas for a better look?

Thats what dogs do. I would invest in a couch cover or throws that coordinate with your decor. Easy to take off to launder when needed. If you are good with a crochet hook, ou might be able to repair it o a certain extent. I have a bunch of pets myself and use throws on all the furniture the pets like to frequent.
Dogs and chenille sound like a bad combination. I like what Naomie says. . . maybe a slip cover would be the best or place something uncomfortable to the dog (sand paper? burlap?) on the sofa till she affiliates that texture with that piece of furniture.
All dogs do that. Need to train to stay off furniture or only go where you put a pet pad. Sorry, not much to do to save Chenille.
You may be able to pull some of the snags through to the inside of the upholstery. In the notions sec of any department or craft store you can find a very fine latch hook to repair snags.
