How can I convert a 7/8 inch thick piece of plywood into a counter?
I have a perfect dimension piece of plywood for a countertop to extend my kitchen area. It's 70 inches long, 26 inches deep from front to back, and, 7/8 inches thick. I bought four 3 rod hairpin legs that are 35 inches high to attach to this countertop, so it will match the height of my other kitchen counter space. My problem is that after putting 3 coats of white lacquer spray on the plywood, it is still "chalky". What can I do to fix??? Help!!

We just used polyurethane to cover ours and it worked great. We stained it, but it works the same over paint. https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2019/07/how-to-build-a-wooden-countertop.html
