A Dust Buster would be a good start, if you have one. Otherwise, I would just use an old toothbrush to sweep out the dirt and graphite. Then the same or another old toothbrush can clean that whole area with vinegar and water. This shouldn’t leave water spots and dries quickly. If you think there is mold, use bleach or straight vinegar to clean all the parts you can reach. Then perhaps you could have little pots of herbs or succulents on the window sill to camouflage new dirt until you get back to it. I would use some double-sided tape to hold the pots in place. I can’t wait for you to break out the Dust Buster and the old (or cheap) toothbrushes. This could be a real asset to your home. Jewell
I live on the fourth floor of an old building, and what I do is line the window bottoms
with plastic shelf liner (or clear plastic acetate) and cut exactly around all the areas that collect dirt. It's so easy just to lift them up and rinse them under the faucet and then put them back on. You can make a stencil to use before you cut it. I do the same for the high spaces that I can't reach like the top of the refrigerator, tops of closets, and the top of shelves, etc. You'll never have a hard time cleaning them again.
You can use a brush attachment on a vacuum. Use a thin stiff brush or old toothbrush to get deep in the tracks.
I use an old toothbrush to reach into the tiny corners and rinse with warm soapy water at first, the a final rinse with plain water, let it dry.
I use a hose attachment on a vacuum first to get out any loose dirt. Then follow up with a toothbrush dipped in warm soapy water. Hope this helps!
I use an old tooth brush, some Qtips and a vacuum attachment to get out all the dirt. Then spray with water and vinegar mixed into a spray bottle on the stream nozzle. No need to rinse.
