PANTRY ORGANIZATION
Kitchen and Pantry Storage & Organization
Group like items, keep a list of contents, add bins to keep items wrangled.
Get some auxiliary shelves to take advantage of double-stacking short items. They're widely sold, I've seen them in BB&B.
I used shoe brackets and wire shelves so my can goods were easy to see .I am not done yet because I am just getting done ripping up the old laminate to put down vinyl plank flooring in my kitchen ,laundry and 4 bathrooms .I want to put in more of these shelves but for now this is all I got done .I have 8 more to install .Brackets were shoe shelf brackets I bought at lowes at 5 dollars a piece ,not cheap but well worth it
Let each shelf be primarily for one category or type of container:
Baking,
Can goods,
P-nut butter/jelly/honey/syrup,
Mustard/ketchup/mayo/pickles/etc.,
Take bagged items like flour, sugar, rice and pour them into sealed containers. I love the sugar dispensers to store these items. I don't put the bag in there, I pour the items out of the bag and label the container. The handles make these so easy to grab and you can pour or take the lid off and measure.
You can also store bagged beans, rice, etc. in wide mouth mason jars. Just label each jar.
For best use of space, try to keep like containers on the same shelf. All mason jars on one shelf. All pourable sugar containers on another. Can goods on another. Within the shelf, group like items together. In other words, keep all your canned tomatoes together, then beans, corn, and canned fruit next. Don't just jumble all your canned goods together.
It looks like you have a lot of grape jelly. If storage space is tight, don't buy in bulk.
Throw away or store elsewhere empty jars. Your pantry is premium space. Only have in there what you constantly use.
Store your tea bags in wide mouth mason jars.
If you have enough height, you can store your tin foil and baggies in plastic magazine holders. They will stand up in the holder and keep them contained. If you don't have upright space, buy a tin foil holder that sits on the shelf or if you have a space, mount it to the wall.

I have a lot of small mesh baskets. I also put peel and stick wallpaper up in the pantry to make it pretty. I also have stackable shelves that are low and fit into tight spaces.
