How do I clean stainless steel?
Just remodeled our kitchen and bought all stainless steel appliances along with a stainless steel wall behind our gas burners. It’s driving me nuts trying to clean any of it and keeping it clean. Especially the backsplash!! Help please!!!

Congratulations on the kitchen remodel! Bet it looks fabulous. Before I purchase anything, my first question is always: "how do I clean it?" Here are some options for you.

A microfiber cloth with the hottest tap water you can get works well, always wipe with the grain of the steel. White vinegar or even vodka works well.
Check out SuperCloth. It is by far the best thing I've found to clean mine. It's a bit pricier than some microfiber but not the most expensive. I've had mine 5 years and well worth the investment, IMHO.
Dip a soft cloth in warm water mixed with a mild dish detergent. Wipe the surface, rinse the cloth and wipe again, then dry with a towel to prevent water spots.
You could try glass cleaner. Or you could get clear plexiglass cut to size and place it on the wall behind the burners. Does not have to be attached.
I use windex and paper towel to keep the "smearing" look to a minimum. To clean more deeply I also use Simple Green. Simple Green wipes also work great for a non smear clean. They also work great on all black appliances.
Hi Patty, Add a few squirts of dish detergent that easily cuts through grease, like Dawn, to a bucket of warm to hot water. Use a soft cloth and the soapy water to rub the grease away. Do not use an abrasive sponge on the stainless steel, because it could scratch your backsplash. Remember to dry it afterwards or it will be streaky.
