The protectant seems to have turned orangish. I really liked them when they looked more like natural wool color.
Hi ! When I was re doing my kitchen , as a temporary fix , I hated my 1970's oak cabinets with inset scalloped edges ...ugh !!!! I cut beadboard to cover the part I didn't like and glued it with locktite super glue . I think this would work on Formica , as well . You might want to use a sanding sponge and scuff the area where you will be applying the glue . I used painters tape to hold the board in place , so it didn't shift while drying . Then I painted them . I loved my new look . You can check out my tutorial on this site called New kitchen on a budget .
good luck !!!
