Define "restore?" Everyone has a different perception of the true meaning. Does it just need a good cleaning? Or a full fledged sand and seal job?

After sanding and cleaning really well. You need to get all the dust off, you can stain and varnish. Here is a video to help you. It is a big job, if you can afford it, get it done professionally.
