You can put new “Formica“ on top of the old. There’s several brands to choose from and they will all send you 5x7” samples for free. There are hundreds of very cool colors & textures.

If you want a new table top, a local cabinet shop can make you one.

use a google or U tube search for paint Formica countertops
You can also paint it. Just be sure to prep it really well by scuff sanding it with a power sander and really good bonding primer like STIX. Then use paint like benjamin moore advance that is strong, or put multiple coats of poly over it. It isn't necessarily food safe, but I assume you won't be actually putting food directly on the table.
