How can I make something special out of my mom's 3 football t-shirts?
My mom was donating some old clothes. I went through them & took out her favorite Clemson Tigers football t-shirts. I know she loved them as she is a Clemson fanatic but they no longer fit her. Is there something special I could make with just 3 t-shirts? A blanket was already made for her out of my dad's shirts after he passed so I'd rather not do that again. Is there anything else?

How about pillows?
Pillow covers or a scarf.
Karina....I vote pillows too...would be wonderful to surprise her with them for Christmas. Good luck
We saved our sons T shirts by sewing shut the sleeves and neck, stuffing it shirt with quilting batting, and then sewing the bottom shut. They make great throw pillows for beds, especially for those who knew the owners and had an emotional attachment.
Here are some ideas: http://maximalisttominimalist.com/t-shirt-ideas-repurpose/
You could do a bag or possibly a pillow.
Make them into throw pillows.
My son passed away last year. His mother-in-law made pillows out of some of his T shirts. She cut off the neck and sleeves, and sewed them closed. She put a pillow inside and sewed the hem closed. I treasure these pillows. Because it feels like I can hold a pillow close and feel a little part of him.
Thank you all for the input!! I sincerely appreciate every one of you that have taken the time to help me out with this. I can't say that I have done anything yet but I promise to post pics as soon as I do. I don't have too much time left! Yikes!! Thanks again & Merry Christmas to all of you & your families!!
I am currently in the process of making 5 teddy bears and 1 stuffed bunny for a friend out of her parent's clothes. Her father passed away in 2013 and her mom currently has dementia and is in a rest home and this will be her farewell Christmas. So the stuffed animals will be a present for her Grandchildren.
In the past, I have made blankets, tote bags, stuffed animals, a car seat cover, Christmas Ornaments, Pillow cases, pillows, wall hangings, and even baby clothes out of people's loved one's clothing.
I am a firm believer that tactile items are wonderful for loved ones to have, so anything you come up with will be wonderful.
A last idea would be to frame the cutouts of the fabric as a collage with a photo.
Hi Karina,
I would love to help you make something with your Mom's shirts. Saving memories and helping make one of a kind treasures is my biggest thrill.
What exactly do you have in mind? A stuffed animal?.... or something else. (if some of the fabric is striped, I may could make a stuffed Tiger)
Most of the stuffed animals I have created recently I have sold between $20 and $50 depending on the size and detail put into them.
If you are thinking more of a tote/purse/pillow/pillow cases, they are easier to make, so that would be $15 to $20.
If you can send me a photo of the t-shirts to MEL2EBOB@GMAIL.COM I can help give you some ideas and discuss further.
I would open up the seams and then sew them all together, then add batting to the center and stitch a back on and then run the machine over them for a lap quilt.
