How can a waterbed heater be used for an outdoor pet bed?
I have an outdoor feral cat that I've been feeding and caring for over 10 years. I'd like to provide a warm place for her using an old waterbed heater that was given to me. (hey, it wasn't mine ok). She rejects most beds I try to provide for her but I can see that as she gets older, she is less afraid. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Hi Nadlou, that's a great idea. Can you cover it with a thick blanket and have it all under cover for her? Just run an extension cord behind the blanket?
That's what I'll do. I'm just a bit concerned that it will get too hot. There is a copper probe that I've stuck down in a potted plant. I hope that it stays constant so that the heater will turn off and on.
That might be way too hot considering the heater was designed to heat a massive amount of water. You can purchase heated pet beds on amazon - https://amzn.to/37Kz936
