You forgot to attach the picture Sandra! I would LOVE to see the cabinet!
Sandra: It's just paint... if she doesn't like the color, it can be primed and repainted
Hi Sandra, Any photos? Suggest she paints it lighter colour first as she could always re-paint it. Or Maybe Photograph it - Print out a copy on print paper and then colour the picture first to see if she likes it...............Best wishes
I painted all of my kitchen cabinets and used a product called oil bond so I didn't have to sand. I would recommend that - no matter the color choice! https://happydealhappyday.com/how-to-paint-kitchen-cabinets-without-sanding/
thank you soooo much. I've never heard of the product before. Your cabinets look fantastic!
If she goes with black, I would recommend Painter's Touch by Rustoleum.
As long as there is no damage, scuff with steel wool then clean with either denatured alcohol or TSP. Then prime and paint.
Hi ! Your picture didn't post ???
what style does your daughter like ? Since I don't have a picture to go by , I have the top of an old hutch that I painted a flat black . I had it in my kitchen for years , I had curtains inside to hide all the cookbooks and small appliances , and craft supplies . When we moved to our current home the piece didn't work in my kitchen , so we put it in the living room and put our tv on it . I took the curtains off and the shelves out , but the piece looked too dark and bulky . Then I painted the inside back part the same color as my walls ( gray / blue )
What a huge difference !!!! Please try to re post the picture and mention her style ... Also using chalk paint is so easy !!! No sanding or primer needed .
Black could be so gorgeous! I love the quality and colors of Fusion mineral paint - you could try inspiration from there. Fail safe colors!
Depending on colour of walls, black might be either dramatic or overpowering.
Than you so much. Walls are neutral, off white.
