Hi Beth, you should be able to find some good tips here
https://www.hometalk.com/search/all?filter=how%20to%20clean%20grout
Beth, the best way is to ensure your grout is sealed while new. If it's too late for that, then you will want to get the grout to looking new and then seal it. To get it thoroughly cleaned, you can use different methods depending on the type of dirt you are dealing with. Shower floors are usually a soap scum issue so use a soap scum remover. Kitchen floors are often greasy so use dawn or another degreaser. Entryway areas are usually grime from outside so use a good general cleaner. Once you choose your cleaner, apply it and let it sit for several minutes. Let your cleaner work for you. At this point you may need to scrub the grout lines. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry for a day before sealing. Once sealed, simple regular mopping should be sufficient.
I found this last year when my hallway grout was getting dirty. It worked really well and after it was cleaned I resealed it. https://www.amazon.com/Grout-EEZ-brightener-Destroys-Floor-Guys/dp/B0721NFGC4/ref=asc_df_B0721NFGC4/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198101474074&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15676175307936759597&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9058203&hvtargid=pla-546131090152&psc=1
Have you tried a steamer?
Beth: for spot cleaning, I've found Mr Clean Magic Erasers (+ elbow grease!) work well.
try this homemade grout cleaner: https://www.craftylittlegnome.com/the-best-homemade-grout-cleaner/
I have a steamer that works very well. However, there is a disclaimer that states you should test it on older grout. It's never happened to me, but apparently, it *can* loosen it.
It's very labor intensive but honestly, vinegar, hot water and a toothbrush work the best for me.
Hi Beth - This is the shower cleaner that we use to help keep grout and tiles clean and minimize the mildew - it works on kitchen grout too. I've also included a great article about mold if it's gone that far. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Lysol toilet bowl cleaner in the Black squirt bottle is the only thing that worked for me. You can also paint it.
Scrub brush
In this post, I shared a great way to clean grout without chemicals. I hope you find it helpful!
Hi Beth, You can make a thin paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Apply it to the grout and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Scrub with an old toothbrush and rinse clean. If the grout between the tiles has worn down too far, it may be a better idea to first re-grout and then seal. You can also buy grout pens to quickly “recolor” your grout and make them look new again.
