Redecorating the room to suit children, teens, or adults?
Please post a picture of the room so that we can see what you are starting with, and what type of space you have to work with.
Cover the walls with Masonite, then paint. It will look like drywall. Make sure you tape and mud seams
Choose a fun theme and go with it like bicycles or antique cars.
Marchell....Is it for an adult or child?
Ah yes, I see from your photos. You have unfinished surfaces, wires and clothes all over and that is unsettling. I would probably start by adjusting your clothing storage. If you put clothes in boxes and not hang them (except for coats) that will free up your visual space. I use fabric cubes and set them on a shelf. You could place a shelf just over head. If you can paint the walls, that will also help your visual space a little.
With a limited budget it won't be easy but I believe as long as it's okay with the person that it belongs to it can be made better! Go to salvage stores or ministries and see if you can get something to cover the walls or paint. Laura has some good ideas...take items people are willing to give you as long as they are usable just don't gather items that are not worthy of using. Take it slow and maybe work on one little area at a time. Good luck....send a pic when you finish. Yard sales are also great places to get a few things but usually this time of year there aren't too many...too cold! Merry Christmas!
Yes the clothes have been a issue...thank you for the ideas. After reviewing many pics and long hours of various reviews I was feeling overwhelmed.. yet just knowing i have others that can advise while i reconstruct this mess helps... thanks!! Today.,I am feeling optimistic and will tackle this problem starting tonight after work. Stay tuned cause I may have questions and I will send pictorial updates soon. Thanks again!!
