Can you give me ideas for organizing my craft room?
How do you organize a craft room if you have more then one craft you enjoy. I do cards, jewelry making, clay, eggery, and sewing. The sewing is not a big issue but card making with all the paper, dies, stamps etc is a nightmare. Do you have a step by step program or one you can recommend?Thank you,

Get your self crates and put each craft in a crate and then you could work out of each crate for that craft you chose to work on so they won’t get mixed up label each crate .
what is eggery?
I suggest using clear plastic shoe boxes (from Dollar Tree), to store different items used for each craft. You could use a shelving unit to display these boxes. Also you need a large surface to work on with proper lighting. Above your work surface, hang a sheet of peg board. Use S hooks to hold tools, scissors, ribbons, paint brushes, etc. And, last, you need a chair. I prefer a desk chair for lumbar support. This work system could be used in an entire room, or even in the corner of a room. Being organized will look clean and tidy.
Bonnie you say the craft that creates the greatest storage need is card making. You name; dies, stamps etc. Two of your crafts are shared by my artist husband. For cards (or really in his case lino cuts) and clay (in his case sculpture) he works in the cellar, but it is quite messy, same as his studio. In my computer space I have a wheeling plastic 6 drawer small stand. This would be good, I imagine for card making. Mine I found at our town swap shop but I would imagine a store like Michaels or any art store would sell them, maybe even a good discount store.
I have the white plastic drawers to hold my small items. Bins inside the drawers that I picked up at Dollar Tree. Group items together that are used together. Chenille ties are in tall jars with lids. Material is folded over cardboard and stacked, similar to fabric stores.
Thank you all so much. Happy crafting.
