Love all my cowboy boots even though I rarely have an occasion to wear them.

I use one of the boot racks that you invert your boots. I turn them back to front then front to back. This works perfectly and they don't cause the weight to topple the holder, the other issue I had.

Could you stack some wooden crates together to create something to store your boots? You could also try making a boot rack out of pallets. It doesn't have to be made out of metal!

A suggestion, since the other s gave you such good ideas, is that when I store my boots, I keep a section of pool noodle in them to keep them from flopping over. It also keeps them aired out.

Get a few of the strong wooden hangers that have metal clamps to hold slacks on and clip the tops of the boots onto them and hang on a lower closet rod.

I've seen folks use strong clips and attach the clips to hangars.

Try a heavy piece of timber and drill holes in it to hold dowels on which you can place the boots
