If you’re just replacing the light kit, take apart the existing one & photograph it as you go.
Take the “connecting piece” to a DIY Big Boc store & buy a new light kit that fits the same mounting screw holes.
BTW, turn off the circuit breaker before doing this.

There isn’t anything special about a mobile home light kit replacement in a fan. The replacement light kit should have instructions. The only rule would be make sure the new one isn’t heavier than the old one.

Depending on the style of fanlight that you have now, sometimes a flush mount integrated LED light can be installed on to the bottom of the fan after removing the old light fixture.
