I would use Dawn and warm water and an old toothbrush Imma.
White toothpaste and a damp toothbrush. A dab of toothpaste on the brush. Brush and let it foam up. Wipe off as you go along to see progress. I use it on a lot of stuff I sell on Ebay. Sneakers come out looking good as new. Also works on copper, brass, gold, silver, porcelain, ceramics, plastics, jewelry, etc. For my sales I needed one product for cleaning everything.
Hi Imma. Begin by cleaning your walking shoes. You should try to knock off any big dirt and clumps. Then clean with lukewarm water and a brush. Don't use detergents as this can affect the material. Remove the laces to clean those hard to reach places. Then dry. Stuff the shoes with newspapers and let them dry naturally. Do not put them near a fire or radiator because it can cause the shoes to crack or warp.
Hi Imma,
Here's a guide for care and cleaning of your walking shoes:

I always wipe mine down with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, followed by a spritz of Windex. If they are still dirty, try wiping with some nail polish remover on a tissue. Cover any white spots with White-Out for typos.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser
Awesome spray cleaner from the dollar store gets off most dirt and grime especially if the soles are light colored. Spray, scrub with a plastic dish scrubber then wipe with a damp towel. It they are cloth use dish detergent and a rag wrung out to wipe surface dirt off.
You can clean the soles with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser!
It definitely depends on whether the shoes are canvas or leather. Which are they?
First, take the shoe's insoles and laces off and set them aside. Gently brush off any more extra dirt. Create a gentle cleaning solution of water with a few drops of detergent or dish soap. Next, use the toothbrush or old wash cloth to wide down shoes on all sides using the toothbrush or an old washcloth.
Hello Imma, hope this helps you. Mix equal parts water and distilled white vinegar in a small bowl, then using a clean rag with a touch of the solution, rub the stains in small circular motions with light pressure until the salt lifts from the leather. Once they're gone, use a clean damp cloth to remove the excess vinegar.
Wash in sink with soapy water and a nail brush/toothbrush.?
