Can I repaint my faux leather recliner?
I was watching the DIY video where she painted her couch. I wanted to know if I could do the samething to my faux recliner because the faux leather is peeling off of my recliner? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It could depend upon the degree of deterioration.
Touch up is what my son did on his sofa with this product.
You need to check over reviews Q&A and see if your correct color is available to see if this product could be useful in your situation. Hope this helps.

The problem I ran across is the bonding was coming apart so nothing really helped. Until I could get a good replacement I used duct tape to keep it from further peeling and put a cover on it. No more faux leather for me.

I’d get dye for just the peeling part area and match it.
Kathy is right that the pieces are peeling off because the bonding agent on the backing on the vinyl is not longer adhering, and the topside is disintegrating due to abrasion of rubbing against the thin fabric.
Paint will not halt the faux leather from continuing to peel.
