Bed Bugs: How to Identify Bedbugs and How to Get Rid of Them
Nothing to mess with. Home remedies never work in the long run, do yourself a favor and call in the pros. In the interim, you may unknowingly be spreading to every place you visit.
I've heard a lot of controversy on the subject of home remedies. But if you want to go that route, here's a good article to help you out:

Clean with hot water, kill carefully with hot air gun ,blow dryer.I also used a portable steamer for ironing. Then I used foggers and bedbug insecticide from Home Depot. It will seem like your not accomplishing much but then theres less and less till no more

Do not attempt a home remedy for these pests. You and your family may have already been spreading them, the do not necessarily stay in the beds, they can go into the carpets, clothes, furniture...
The pro's have the trained staff, chemicals, know where to look and treat, keep coming back until the bed bugs are gone, and a warranty. Most people do not kill bed bugs for a living, so call in those who do.

This is one for the pros.
A friend of mine tried to get rid of hers herself and a month later the infestation was so bad that she had to destroy all of her upholstered furniture, her drapes and bedding and many of her clothes.
And she was displaced for a week.
It's not worth it.
