Hello
I think polyshades might be the product to consider for your need
Here’s a link to look over the content and see if it’s a product that will meet your needs. It can be applied over existing existing poly finishes without any stripping or sanding. I find reviews and Q&A’s can often direct me towards the correct purchase. Hope this helps.

Any good gel stain will work. You can go darker but not lighter. I use Minwax products.
I would think a cherry stain would work, but test it in a small spot first to see if it's the color you want.
Get a small can of stain you like and test the color on the underneath side in a small spot. I use old rags to apply stain. You can control the amount of stain and immediately rub the finish in so it isn't too dark and remove areas that a paint brush won't do. Just touch the rag into the stain and do an area moving the stain around quickly. You can always add more but you can't take it off if it is too dark unless you start over and sand. Get some color swatches at the store. I have always used Minwax since that is what most paint stores carry and have had good luck with it. I understand the gel stains are easy to use but haven't tried them yet.
Consider General FInishes waterbased stain. Very little prep work is involved and then you can finish with their clear sealer. They also have a gel stain but that is a more solid color. They do have a cherry wood color. I just used it recently and I love it! I plan to redo my dining room table and chairs using this product.

Minwax products are good, but I prefer General Finishes. They also have a helpline to answer all your questions one on one.
You could use a gel stain by General Finishes in cherry or a stain that matches.
There are lots of ideas here:

Get a minwax penatrating stain in the cherrie wood so you will see the grain and it will match the table
Hi Tamara , here's a handy video tutorial that will show you how to go about it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YJ2Up0ugO0 Depending on the type of stain you may need to sand your chairs down first.
you would need to go to paint store and get some swatches to compare its shading at the house. Make sure your table and chairs are the same wood specie since different wood reacts to stain differently
I will say stain is very hard to match. But Minwax is a good stain if you like to see the wood grain.
Cherry wood colour.
