I don't think there is any 'correct' weight for the dropcloth curtains, Lisa. It depends on how heavy you want them to be. Also, if you plan on lining them, you may want to go with a lighter weight.

Hi Lisa, here is a video instruction to make these curtains, hope it helps you. If you want more light to get in, pick a lighter gauge, if you want to darken the room, pick the heavier gauge.

Buy special Clip Hooks. They attach to the drop cloth and slip on to a pole, or make yourself an open hem seam and thread the pole through the hem.... Best wishes........It really is as simple as that.
