How do I stain glass jars?
First of all I would like to thank everyone for your help, but I still have a problem. I like the Mod Podge method but it says you have to bake the jars. I don't have an oven. I do have a microwave tho, would this do?

I wouldn't put empty jars in the microwave. A toaster oven may work, though.

I agree with Ann don't put empty jars in the microwave. What about your oven or a bbq grill with hood?
Do you have a neighbor or family member who would let you use their oven briefly. Someone who LOVES to do crafts?!
Hi! This crafter did it both ways and said you could do it without the oven:

Just paint the inside no need to bake.
Hi Grandma. Begin with a clean surface. Then add a few drops of glass stain into the glass jars. Slowly swirl the jar until it is covered completely. Hold the jar upside down on top of a paper towel. Let it sit upside down until it is dry. No baking necessary. You can buy glass stain at Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's Fabric, Michael's too. They range in price from $10 to $15.
Grandma.....I use Elmer's glue and food coloring...mix will and paint on with foam brush...they may look streaked when you finish but will look better when dry completely. Lots of fun and very pretty.
Yes you need to heat them up to a hot temp to make the dye stick
