Hi Suse. Mice seem to love kitchens because that is where food is, and warmth too. I saw a mouse at our old house. I had a cat the same day. I still have the cat. She's so sweet. If you cannot have a cat, keep the house very clean, especially the kitchen and pantry. Also food in the garbage will attract them.
Lol get a couple of cats got to think fast
Hi this is Peggy. To deter mice, do no leave food or seed where they can get it. Plug all holes in your foundation, they get in the littlest places. Good luck and stay well.
You can get the catch and release traps which are a bit more friendly.
A pet cat, but I'm assuming you don't have one. In such case, seal holes as well as food, don't leave any of them around. You have DIY sprays but those have not worked for me. Hiring a professional is best if you have a hard time controlling their spread.
Seal any openings mice can get through. Their bodies are so flexible they can sqeeze thru a hole the size of a quarter and run under a 1/4" opening under a door. Sticky traps are the best solution. Place them along baseboards or anywhere mice have been seen
Thank you! No we haven't got a cat nor can we get traps because we're not allowed to go out. I may seem mad, but just a bit stir crazy!
I have heard the cat is the perfect solution for mice and moles.

Hi Susie: Cats? Not mine :( My cats (4 of them) were outside laying on top of a dog house in the sun. By the dog house door was a welcome mat with a mouse laying on that and one cat looking down watching it. I thought "Ick, they killed a mouse." I went inside, got a zip bag to pick the cadaver up and when I got near the dog house, the cats looked at me, the mouse looked at me, got up, stretched and went under the dog house. The cats watched this without wiggling a whisker. So, not all cats chase mice. Mine keep them as pets :( In order to get rid of them, I went to this site. No mice since this:)
