DIY Vintage Junk Styled Tiered Tray
Tiered trays are hot, hot, hot! They're so much fun to decorate with for any season. If you've got some vintage junk laying around, with some simple DIY skills, you can create this unique garden-inspired tiered tray and have fun decorating with it indoors or out!
Cut 6" metal garden edging in half widthwise with a tinsnips to go around both levels of tiered tray: you'll need 63" for the bottom, 43" for the top, which includes a 3" overlap.
Cut 2 boards 18" x 12" and 14" x 6". Drill 1/4" holes in center of boards. Also drill holes in 2 sections of old spindles, cut at 5 1/2" and 10". Assemble together with double ended threaded screws, 1/4" x 3".
Attach feet to bottom corners; we used pieces cut from old chair legs. Glue vintage doorknob to top, using a section of dowel.
Paint everything white, except for vintage doorknob. Distress if desired and seal with poly/wax.
Lastly, nail on the garden edging, sharp side down all around, overlapping ends. Bend to straighten and form so it looks good.
Decorate with your garden-style tiered tray indoors and out! You can see how I filled mine with garden goodness on the porch HERE. For more vintage junk-inspired garden projects, see HERE. There is a free, printable tutorial of this project available on my blog's Resource Library.
