How to Make Wood Wheels

Hi Don, the easiest way would be to use a drill press, with the your choice size of Hole Saw bit. You could also use a drill if you don't have a drill press, but 30 may tire you out, good luck!

You will need a set on hole saws to do this project. If you have a drill press it will be very quick but a drill will work too.
Hi Don, I would use a drill press and hole saw. This video should give you some ideas - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLYgHOPtano
Hi Don,
If you don't have the right equipment, you could using a nail and a bit of string half the size of the wheel required. Tie the string to the nail, centre the nail on the timber and knock it in a bit. Measure the length of string a little longer than half the size of wheel required. Tie a pencil on to the string. Check your string length and then pencil in a circle around the nail. Check again the size of the wheel. Next start drilling holes around the circle. Then start to cut with a jigsaw until you have the rough wheel. Check your wheel size and mark exterior boundary again. Sand until smooth and round. Hope that helps............If it is worth doing, It's worth taking the time..............
Hi Don, Could I ask what your project is?
Ah, I thought it must be something fun to play with!
Post some pictures to share when the project is completed.
A hole saw is probably your best option. If you don’t have the tools though, you’d be better off buying something already cut online or at a hobby/craft store.
