Please Note to don't use any of cider or spiced vinegar. I else Recommend to use thick liquid toilet cleaner it works with me really well.
Missing: galvanized ‎screws
Anita, others have answered about cleaning. Once that is done you will need to protect the screws to keep it from happening again. You might paint them with Rustoleum but you could also take a screw to the hardware store and replace all of them with stainless steel. I try to make repairs last as long as possible.
Hi Anita
Here is some info I found for you.

Rustoleum makes a wonderful rust remover.
Hello Anita,
Wipe over with WD-40!
I would try using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
Get a metel brush and rub it off scrap it
I use Bar Keepers Friend to remove any rust on metal, maybe it would work on your garage also. You can find it where they sell Comet and Ajax. You might want to try a small area first before applying to a larger surface to test if it would be safe for your garage surface.
