This should work for you Pat!
I also included two links which discuss the difference between "sanitizing" and "disinfecting". Just some interesting reading!
Mix bleach and water in a 1:10 ratio—which is what the Center for Disease Control recommends for sanitizing surfaces—and apply to your counters with a rag or a spray bottle.

Hi Pat, here are some instructions for making a sanitizer cleaner for your counter tops. Stay well Hot water and dish soap should be adequate for daily sanitizing. However, if a disinfectant is desired, reach for a bottle of 70% isopropyl alcohol. Spray it onto the granite, allow to sit for three to five minutes, and then rinse with water and dry with a clean microfiber cloth. Avoid bleach or ammonia-based cleaners.Mar 21, 2020

Hi Pat
You didn't say what your countertops were made of; stone, granite, composite, etc. so some things can't be used on granite or stone especially the dark colored stones.

Diy Disinfectant Spray With Everclear and Vinegar
1/4 cup white vinegar. 1/4 cup (60%+ alcohol content) vodka or Everclear (excellent germ-killing properties – you can substitute rubbing alcohol, but it will have a more medicinal scent) 15 drops essential oil – peppermint + lemon OR lavender + lemon are great in this recipe. glass spray bottle.
In a spray bottle, mix 1/3 rubbing alcohol, 8 drops Dawn Platinum, any essential oil that you want to add, 3-4 drops then fill the rest with water. Use daily. I like peppermint oil, tea tree, or sage. This was given to me by a Granite yard owner. I have used this daily for about 6 years now and my granite still looks brand new.
Pour the rubbing alcohol into a 16 oz spray bottle. Add a few drops of dish soap, then fill the rest of the bottle with water. Screw the top onto your spray bottle and give it a few shakes to mix. Spray the mixture onto your countertops, and use a clean microfiber cloth to clean and buff it dry.

You can clean with hydrogen peroxide. It is food safe and sanitizes. It is what the pediatrician recommended for all surfaces and toys when my granddaughter was born.
Mix one part distilled white vinegar with one part warm water in a spray bottle.
