    What does it weigh?

It's a window weight from old double hung windows. Only thing I can think of is paint it with different colors or patterns and use it as a door stop.

Malina: my guess is a marine water sinker of sorts. (It might look good hung on a patio)

It would make a nice door stop or if put in front of a drafty door a way to help keep the heat in and cold outside.

This would work out in the garden if you have a coastal theme.

Would be cute as decor in a beach cabin mounted on a wall.

Use in the garden. You could write the name of the veggies you are growing on it.

      Hello again,

If it was a weight for a box sash window, it is smaller than it looks!

You could hang it be the door or for that matter anywhere else that seem appropriate and right on it "A LONG WEIGHT" or WAIT!! or Tie a length of cord on it and keep it in the shed or garage, for when you need to find out if something is plumb straight, or hang it to the bottom of something (maybe a hanging basket) to stop it from swinging about in the wind.......Best wishes.

I'm assuming the pics were taken on a chair seat and back so the weight isn't veery large. Paint it up in a wild variety of colors and use it as a conversation piece on a coffee table or as a part of a centerpiece for a small dining table. If you do craft projects it could hold light items in place., such as one end of fabric while cutting out a pattern, etc.

You can hang it from a rope in your home somewhere and could even spray paint it a different color.
