Dryer sheets, rubber gloves, or a damp sponge will take it off furniture. A window squeegee will pick it up off carpet.
Sharon: I have found that gardening gloves - with a rubber palm - work well.
The obvious one is to vacuum everyday.

One thing that can help is regularly brushing your dog to reduce the loose hairs in the first place. Then gloves or lint rollers can be used. :-)
You could give the dog to another family. We give our long-haired dog a short haircut - especially in summer. Frequent brushing and a good vacuum solve the problem - sort of.
Purchase a "rake" comb to comb out the undercoat. Works well when its windy outside (but your neighbors might get mad if you let the hair float away into their yards). Alternative buy one of those robot vaccumes and set it onto a daily schedule.

I found a garment brush that has different heads to remove pills from sweaters. It works well on dog hair. It is called Gleener The Ultimate Fuzz Remover

You could vacuum it up or use a lint roller.
